"Tony's, our South Bay Landmark, has provided our
families with countless celebrations several for
generations! Since the time I was a little girl, I'm 54
now, we have supported this local restaurant and feel as
if we are part of the Tony family~ We adore Sebastian
and the gang~ Over the years, all of us have cupboards
and bars filled with the infamous Tony Mai Tai glasses~
Thanks for the memories and future ones to be made!" |

"My fiancé and I went to Tony's very early on in
our relationship and fell in love with the atmosphere,
food and great service. Billy made many of our visits
memorable with his amazing drinks and charm! We love
Tony's and treat ourselves frequently to this special
place, We ended up telling our parents about our
upcoming baby and celebrated at Tony's. We hope for many
more special occasions in our lifetime at Tony's." |

"Growing up in the South Bay (70's), Tony's was one of
our favorite beach restaurants. I visited Redondo Beach
in June and had lunch at Tony's. The food and service
were just as good as "back-in-the-day.....GREAT...which
made a special lunch even better! Thanks!" |

"Tony's was our first destination on our wedding night 15 years ago (ditched our reception for some crustacean pasta with an ocean view), and yes.. even before the Hilton. We have moved all around the country but have family in Torrance so Tony's is always on the agenda when we are in town. Sir Billy went to High School with my Uncle so I assumed that he just treated me like family because, I am. But reports from friends of mine concur that he defines Genuine Hospitality... There is nothing like riding out last call at the upstairs bar while taking in a Buffett impersonator. Thanks Tony's for many memories and many yet to come." |

"My family has been dining at Tony's for 3 generations.
The food is spectacular, the people are kind and
friendly and the location is unmatched in beauty and
ambiance. I'm a customer for life. And it's something
I'll pass down like my grandparents and parents before
me. The best restaurant, food and atmosphere anywhere
I've ever been. Thank you for all my wonderful
experiences. I've lost count of how many Mai Tai glasses
I own." |

"My fiancé and I were visiting Redondo Beach last week,
and repeatedly visited Old Tonys. Every time we would
visit was better than the last. I cannot thank this
place enough for their amazing hospitality. They had
welcome arms for two visitors overwhelmed and excited by
California. Our main man Manny, and our acoustic genius
Evyn made the experience worth while. Thank you so much
for great times and good tunes. Number 1 in my book!!
See you in three months boys!!" |

"I lived in Hermosa Beach for 8 years in the late
70's-early 80's. We went to Tonys quite often, I just
had a drink in one of my Tonys Glasses. Have not been
out there since 1997, although did stop in for dinner at
that time. I remember seeing the fire damage to the
pier, thinking hope Tonys survived! Great Food, Fun and
atmosphere! Keep up the good job, can't wait to get back
out there real soon! Your the 1st place we go to every
time!!" |

"I just want to thank you for two wonderful
evenings for me and my family at your restaurant, we
even spent New Years Eve at your place. The dinner was
excellent and so also the service your personal showed
us. We have now moved further, first to San Francisco
and now in Palm

home to Sweden. If our trips goes to LA again we will
sure come and visit you and also recommend to eventually

stumbled upon the beautiful Redondo Beach Pier & Old
Tony's. If you're a seafood lover like myself, you must

truly unforgettable dining experience."

"We just spent the weekend in Redondo Beach and
happened on "Old Tony's" on the pier... What a find , we
went at the end of the evening ,and promptly got seated
next to sliding glass doors that were open so you heard
the surf as well as seeing the lights dancing off the
water, and that's just the beginning ... Julie, our
waitress provided excellent service as well as personal
stories which made us feel like regulars even though it
was out 1st. time .Now the food...simply amazing ... My
husband splurged and got the King Crab legs...wonderful
and I got a special linguini with huge chunks of Lobster
and they made it personal when I asked if they could add
Scallops in place of the Shrimp , No problem !! Simply
THE BEST seafood ever, our teens were treated equally
well ... Please do yourself a favor and visit .. old
time , great atmosphere on the water ...What more can I
say... The Bass Family !!" |

"Since I was little I would always come with my
parents to the Redondo Beach Pier and always passed by
Old Tony's Restaurant. I have to admit I've never
stepped foot in the place until 2 weeks ago. I went to
spend the whole day at the Pier and ended my night in
the bar at Old Tony's with my boyfriend and I have to
say, this place is the best from their staff to their
drinks! :-)
I didn't want to leave. We watched the sunset and the
stars come out. It was so romantic. The ambiance is
great plus the entertainment! There is no doubt that I
will be returning!!" |

"I spent lot of time in Redondo in the mid 90's. I
would walk from my hotel to Old Tony's for dinner. It's
a wonderful, classic Seafood restaurant. Great views of
the marina and the sunset is awesome. The best seafood I
have ever eaten. I miss it so." |

"I was at Old Tony's last weekend with a group of
friends, and we had an absolutely fabulous time. We met
bartenders Sebastian and Billy and they were extremely
friendly and fast with the strong cocktails. We will
will be back with another big group.
I love Tony's for a lot of reasons - the old school
feel, friendly employees who have been there for decades
and the fact that it is family owned and operated. All
these things are such a rarity these days. I love the
history that oozes from the place. So much of the town
has been torn down and homogenized. Kudos to Tony's for
keeping it real." |

"I moved from Californina over five years now, but
Tony's was a regular destination for my wife and me. We
worked on location during the weekends and the goal was
always to meet afterwards in the bar upstairs to catch
the sunset over a cocktail before dinner. We brought
family and friends to dine and take in the Tony's
experience over the years, and I recently recommended it
to a friend on business... I found your website. What a
treat to reminisce. I appreciate the wall paper screen
savers - they adorn my computor. I want to thank you for
every special time ever spent at Tony's. I hope to be in
LA for business soon, and I can not wait hit another
sunset." |

"We started going to Tony's when we started dating
over 14 years ago and now marred. We absolutely love it!
There are not many places left where the people know
your name when you come in and remember what you drink
when you sit at the bar. Billy is the best bartender
ever! The wait staff is excellent along with a fantastic
menu. You have to experience a sunset or a rain storm
there to really get the full ambiance of this fantastic
place. You must make this a stop on your next visit or
night out." |

"Tony's has always been in our family as "the place" to
go for a great over-the-water dining experience. When
there's a celebration, we go to Tony's. It is a magical
place to dine after a refreshing walk along the pier. We
love to wait for our table because then we can go
upstairs and enjoy the view from the 'bird nest'. Try
the Pink Salmon Chowder. . Simply the best!" |

"My wife introduced me to Tony's while we were starting
to date. She had been going there with her parents for
years. Our dining experience has always been superb but
the main reason we go back again and again is the
musician Evyn Charles.
We were there while he played his sunset song at sunset
2 summers ago and asked him to play at our wedding! He
did a fantastic job and never fails to amaze every time
we hear him. We have brought friends and family who
can't believe he is not world-famous yet. We will be back
to have dinner and listen to Evyn soon!" |

"In August 1968, my husband and I met at a monthly
work "fun" meeting from his job in Torrance. My cousin
worked with him and talked me into joining them at
Tony's. We dated a couple of months and he proposed in
December at, you guessed it, TONY'S. We got married on
February 15, 1969, We made Tony's our anniversary
celebration when we could (moving to Big Bear took us
away). We are now retired and live by Reno, Nevada and
are celebrating our 40th anniversary next month and
can't imagine not going back to Tony's, where our
relationship started, and toasting our lives with a mai-tai
and lobster dinner. We are so excited to see the ocean
from your view and reminisce about how we met by chance
at Tony's." |

"What memories I have of Tony's on the pier. I was born
in Hawthorn in 1964 and as early as I can remember, my
parents took me there. It felt like almost every

Temple drinks with the green plastic mermaid inside. It
was my family's number one place for great food, great
service, and beautiful views. Love you Tony's." |

almost 4 years now, and continue to go there and enjoy
the atmosphere at the bar and watch the sun set while
"Manny" makes us up his famous "Mai-Tai" drinks! We also
LOVE the the giant shrimp cocktails. We love going there
and can't wait to go there again soon. The people and
the guitar player "Doug" are are nice people there. We

"Dear Friends: We all agree the food at Tony's is
splendid, but let's talk about Billy's downstairs bar.
It has the best service and expertly made mixed drinks
anywhere in the South Bay. If you like classic,
perfectly crafted cocktails, Billy's your man! He's
gentlemanly, knowledgeable, and possesses a wonderful
sense of humor that makes the bar itself not only a
great place to wait for a table, but also a destination
unto itself." |

"I ate at Tony's for the first time in the early
70's. A really handsome guy named Tony took me there for
a Special evening. It was great, I'll never forget it.
The food was outstanding and the atmosphere in the
evening Magical! I still have my souvenir glass. I
always talk about this place to my daughter and nephews
and was wondering if it was still around. I got on the
internet, typed Tony's on the Pier and I'm glad to see
that you're still open after all these years. Now my
family is requesting that their B-Day dinners be
celebrated there. We have B-Days every four days in the

most incredible "Smoke Salmon Chowder"! A MUST try! Being able to open the window at your table is a wonder plus. My children have fond memories of feeding the birds breadcrumbs and watching the sea lions play. Atmosphere is friendly and comfortable, food
excellent, Harold Payne is fun at the piano and drinks are a

unique, and creates a wonderful home from home. I advise
anyone who hasn't visited, eaten or drank there, to go

"I used to come in to your restaurant as a little
child in the early 70's, usually for my birthday. I
would order a large plate of crab legs and eat every
bite as the waitresses wondered where I was putting it
all. I brought my husband in there a few years ago when
I was pregnant with my first child. I just found out
today that a friend of mine and I both shared wonderful
memories of your restaurant. I just wanted you to know.

We would celebrate every anniversary by going to Tony's,
since the 1980's. We would order steak & lobster and
make sure to order a Mai Tai drink for a souvenir glass.
We have spent many nights there eating and then walking

a month. We loved the atmosphere, music and fine dining.

"My husband and I had a reason to celebrate and we chose
Old Tony's to do it. We sat upstairs in the bar and
enjoyed some wonderful oysters and bay shrimp, sipped
our drinks and listened to the music. Then we headed
downstairs to a wonderfully secluded table, had lobster
thermidor to die for and a tender steak and enjoyed our
dinner. My husband said the smoked salmon chowder would
be reason to come back every week! We've lived in the

"What can I say? I love Tony's! I have been a faithful
customer since 1982, (I should own the place by now!),
and that's when I met Wendy. Wendy has been my waiters
ever since! She's what makes Tony's what it is today...a
fantastic experience! The food is wonderful, excellent
and a great value! I have met Sabatian, Ken, "Billy the
bartender" and of course, Wendy. My favorite meal is the
Steak and Lobster Tail...but...the Ministrone soup is to
die for! The best I have ever had! I recommend this
